Through my work and voluntary experience, I became aware of the strong links between people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I was struck by how frequently negative, dysfunctional ways of thinking significantly affect people’s feelings, leading them to adopt unhelpful ways of responding to situations. My training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has enabled me to work therapeutically with people in a collaborative way in order to help them break their vicious cycles once and for all by challenging and changing their unhelpful ways of coping with life.

In addition to CBT, I have used the Person-centred approach in various work settings in the past and I have worked with families using elements of Systemic Family Therapy. I have also used techniques inspired by Art Therapy and Play Therapy in order to encourage my young, as well as older clients, to explore their thoughts and feelings creatively and enhance the quality of support I am offering. This wide range of experience has helped me to develop a better appreciation of the diverse therapeutic interventions, their scope and limitations.

Using various methods and activities flexibly and creatively, my aim is to provide the best possible support and evidence-based practice that my clients need. I work as an integrative psychotherapist by implementing techniques and interventions based on strong theoretical foundations, extensive research and continuous learning to support my personal and professional growth.
